Worker's Compensation

Your employees are your biggest asset. Worker's Comp protects your business and your people when workplace injuries happen, so you stay compliant and covered.

What this is

Worker's Compensation is the coverage that responds when someone on your payroll is hurt doing their job. It pays for the medical treatment and replaces part of the wages they lose while they recover, without either side having to prove who was at fault.

For the owner, the point is containment. An injury that would otherwise arrive as a medical bill, a lost wages claim and a legal problem all at once becomes one claim the policy handles. For the employee, treatment starts without an argument about money.

Who it's for

  • You have people on payroll, full time or part time
  • Your trade is physical work: construction, cleaning, landscaping, food service
  • A general contractor or a client is asking you for a certificate before you can start
  • You are about to hire your first employee and are not sure what changes

How we work on it

We start with a conversation rather than a quote form. What your business actually does matters here, because a cleaning crew and a framing crew are not the same risk and should not be priced as though they were. You get the options explained in the language you are most comfortable in, including what each one would not respond to.

Common Questions

Questions about this service

Do I need this if I only have one employee?

That depends on how the person is classified and how your business is set up, which is exactly the kind of question worth asking before you hire rather than after. Bring us the details of the role and we will go through what applies to your situation.

What is the difference between this and General Liability?

They cover different people. Worker's Compensation responds when someone who works for you is injured. General Liability responds when someone who does not work for you is injured, or their property is damaged, because of your work. Businesses with employees usually need both, for different reasons.

Someone asked me for a certificate of insurance. What is that?

It is a one page document from the insurer confirming you carry the coverage, with the dates and the limits on it. It is not the policy itself. If you have been sent a request and you are not certain what it is asking to see, bring it in and we will read it with you.

Simple Process

Three steps to the right coverage.

No jargon. No pressure. Just a clear path to protecting what matters.

STEP 01

Tell us about your situation.

We start with a conversation in English, Portuguese or Spanish, so we understand your life, your business, and what you actually need. No forms to fill out before we talk.

STEP 02

We find the right coverage.

Based on your situation, we compare options, explain the differences in plain language, and recommend what makes sense, never what pays us the most commission.

STEP 03

You're protected. We stay close.

Once you're covered, we don't disappear. As your life changes, we review your coverage and adjust it. A new employee, a new vehicle, a new chapter.
